My solo show in the Corinth Artist Guild Gallery was a success. It opened on September 13 and was so much fun. I enjoyed seeing artists, some of my students, family and friends and collectors as well. Above is a photo of one of my paintings called Delta Cotton II, that sold to a collector from Nashville who is a terrific person to drive down to my show!
Earlier in September I completed a large 4 x 6 ft diptych commission of the Natchez Trace for a new bank in Jackson, MS.
My next oil painting Landscape Workshop at the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art in Laurel October 12-15, 2009.
I was also invited to doArt Talk - a brown bag luncheon program open to the public at noon in the museum.
I am now teaching two oil painting classes in Tupelo - one for beginners on Monday afternoons and one for experienced painters on Monday nights. We meet the first 3 Mondays of each month. Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested.
