Thank you!... I lo...That was just beautiful, Susan! Thank you!... I love the idea of everyday works being a work or art for Him. And Beth Moore's paraphrase, "She has done a beautiful thing to me." How wonderful! Jesus says, "...without me ye can do nothing"(John 15:5). And it is so true!

I love your art ...but the way you live your everyday life is truly inspirational! I came to your website for inspiration just...Mom,
I came to your website for inspiration just before I begin to paint this morning.
Makes me think.. I also went to the Word this morning just before I begin to do the "little" things in my day that will be "works of art" for Him.
Beth Moore wrote about this in her Bible study, "Esther." She writes, "Every one of us who embraces the glory of God as our purpose will end up doing great things precisely because we do God-things. His holy hand resting on the least act renders the ordinary extraordinary. Spooning soup into the mouth of the weak or manning the nursery so a tired mom can go to church are acts of high worship when offered in the name of Christ. He beholds the sight like a breathtaking work of art, tilting His head to study each subtle detail. 'She has done a beautiful thing to me.' (Mark 14:6)" (Esther Bible Study, page 173)
I wrote this comment in the margin: "Giving myself to God dulls society's acceptance cries in my ears, and gets me moving in a direction that feels productive and profitable and warm and loving and eternal. Opposingly, going the other direction, amid deafening , distracting cries of society for me to go with them, I feel wrong, alone, stumbling, pulled, torn, dizzy and unsure. May I always follow Him- wherever- and always have a reason to praise."
I thank God for you, Mom, and am amazed at the blessings on our lives. May we paint well today- with our brushes and also with our devotion and love for Him!
Love you,
SusanSusanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11539868301845192165noreply@blogger.com
